Online, Virtual and Hybrid Classes

If you have questions about your classes, please log into MyFVTC and see your class schedule to confirm the instruction mode of specific classes. Classes are subject to specific details from your instructor and subject to change based on changing local conditions.

Online, Virtual and Hybrid Classes

Classes are being planned for flexible delivery in a variety of ways with enhanced flexibility for students to accommodate schedules. Content that does not require a hands-on component (traditional lecture or classroom-based instruction) is planned to be delivered in an enhanced alternative format (online or virtual face-to-face).

Online, Virtual and Hybrid Classes all use Blackboard. You can log into your Blackboard course pages using your MyFVTV account username and password.

Class delivery options include:

  • Online: Classes offered online on your time.
  • Virtual Classroom: Study face-to-face online at a scheduled time.
  • On-Campus: Hands-on skills taught in person in classrooms or labs.
  • Hybrid: Classes delivered in a combination that includes at least 50% online.

Hands-On Delivery

We are still teaching hands-on skills in an in-person format for select classes. Each program, class, and section will have a safety protocol in place.

  • Sections will be typically limited to nine students or fewer and an instructor.
  • Smaller class sections support the health and safety of students and staff.
  • Smaller class sections provide students even more attention and quicker skill development.
  • Exceptions made for larger spaces where distancing protocol can be put in place.
