Testing Centers

The Testing Center is available for current FVTC students to complete examinations arranged through your instructors. A photo ID is required to take a test in the Testing Center. Student ID cards are available in the Student Life Center at the Appleton Campus, Student Services at the Oshkosh Riverside campus and certain regional centers. 

Notes:

  • Your personal belongings must be left outside the Testing Center. For convenience, lockers are available. A quarter is required to release the locker key; the quarter will be refunded to the user when the key is replaced. 
  • You are responsible for allowing sufficient time for completing tests prior to testing center closing.

Proctoring Services

About Proctoring

FVTC campuses and regional centers offer proctoring services for exams from other colleges.

Please read the information below and refer your instructor to this information.

Student Information

Complete the following steps: 

  1. Contact your college instructor to ensure eligibility for proctored examination.

  2. Contact the testing center at your preferred FVTC location  to check availability for proctoring. 

  3. Enroll in course 94801004 test proctoring services which carries a once-per-semester, non-refundable fee. If the proctored exam is from a Wisconsin technical college, skip this step.

  4. Allow sufficient time for arranging and completing a proctored test.

  5. Contact the corresponding testing center to confirm receipt of exam materials. Take note of Testing Center hours and guidelines.

Instructor Information

Instructors should: 

  1. Advise students to check into the availability of proctoring services at FVTC Testing Center before proceeding to the next step. 

  1. Provide thorough directions for proctoring the test. Also provide contact information.

Certiport Microsoft Office Specialist Certification
  1. Call the Appleton Testing Center to check into exam appointment availability before proceeding to the next step. 

  2. Register through Certiport and purchase exam voucher(s). Ensure that your login works prior to the day of your test.

  3. Call the Appleton Testing Center to make an exam appointment.

  4. On the day of your exam, report to the Testing Center Room G212 – Appleton Campus. Be sure to have the following:

  • Current, non-expired ID containing full name, photograph, and signature.

  • Certiport username, password, and voucher number.

Additional Note:

  • Bring limited personal belongings to your appointment. You will secure those items in a small locker with a quarter, which is refunded.
