Skills Assessment

An academic skills assessment is required for admission into this program or the following: High School GPA of 2.75 or higher (last 10 years) OR provide completion of associate’s or higher degree OR; 165 or higher on your 2014 series GED tests OR; ACT OR SAT OR Accuplacer OR Companion OR Compass (last 3 years) to waive to the general education level; The cost of the Accuplacer assessment is $15; Catalog #: 94100100; Learn more at www.fvtc.edu/Assessment.

Proof of HS Completion

Submit a final, official high school transcript, an original diploma or an official copy of GED/HSED Certification Scores. Additional Information

This is a high demand, fall start only program, and capacity is limited;  Students are admitted and invited to enroll based upon the date of their admission to the program; There is the potential for a year or more wait to get into the program.

This program may require professional licensure or certification; FVTC has determined that this program meets professional licensure requirements in the state of Wisconsin; however, FVTC has not determined if this program meets professional licensure requirements for other states.

Program Outcomes

  • Apply business practices for industry success
  • Develop client treatment plans
  • Develop ethical therapeutic relationships with clients
  • Perform advanced, aesthetic face and body treatments for therapeutic benefit in medical and spa settings
  • Perform chemical services up to medium depth in medical and spa settings
  • Perform Intense Pulse Light (IPL), and Class 2 laser treatments, under physician supervision in medical and spa settings
  • Utilize electrotherapy techniques in medical and spa settings
