We offer mental health counseling services to help students manage challenges and support their overall well-being. Students can access care through FVTC Counseling Services or through BetterMynd, our secure and flexible online counseling platform.
Counseling services are free and available for all current students, offering both in-person and virtual support to assist with issues that impact overall well-being.
Your counselor understands that there are pressures and challenges faced while in college – not all of them academic. Through counseling, current students can confidentially share problems in a safe and supportive space.

Fox Valley Technical College is expanding mental health support for students. In addition to in-person counseling through our Counseling Services, we now offer free online therapy sessions through our partner BetterMynd.
This partnership helps us reach more students—especially those who may need evening, weekend, or virtual options. Both services are confidential, accessible, and here to support your wellbeing.

Free, in-person and virtual counseling services available to all current students.
Ideal for students seeking in-person support (available virtually as well), connection to campus resources, and counselors familiar with the FVTC student experience.
Flexible, virtual counseling with expanded availability and a wide network of providers.
Ideal for students needing flexible scheduling, virtual access, or a broader selection of therapists.
The College provides individual counseling specific to alcohol and other drug use to students and staff.
Issues include:
Students requiring court ordered or mandated counseling will be referred to community providers for services.
Students requiring a higher level of care that may include compliance monitoring, intensive outpatient programming, partial hospitalization, or medically assisted detox treatment will be referred to community resources.
The cost of services provided outside the College by community providers will be the responsibility of the student.
