Fox Valley Technical College High School Academies are designed to provide motivated students with program specific pathways to earning a credential. Students will take classes at the Fox Valley Technical College Campus, benefiting from FVTC's advanced equipment and instructors, while also earning high school credit.
Eligibility: Prospective students must be in good academic standing and meet FVTC program requirements. Parental and high school approval is required for a student to be accepted into the program.
Payment Responsibility: It is the responsibility of the student/family and school district to determine, prior to the class start date, who is responsible for payment. If payment responsibility is not established as part of the agreement, payment responsibility will default to the student and family. Academies may qualify for Start College Now funding. Talk with your high school Guidance Counselor to learn more.
Students with documented disabilities who receive accommodations at their high school or on campus are eligible to receive reasonable accommodations while taking Fox Valley Technical College (FVTC) credit courses. These accommodations must comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), as students are earning college credit.
Because college-level coursework differs from the high school environment, Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans must be reviewed to determine which accommodations are appropriate and applicable at the college level. While these plans provide helpful background information, accommodations in college may vary based on course requirements and ADA standards for postsecondary education.
Instructors working with students who have either an IEP or 504 Plan are encouraged to contact a Fox Valley Technical College Disability Services instructor as soon as possible to ensure that accommodations are implemented in a timely and appropriate manner.
Students requesting disability-related accommodations in an FVTC course are urged to contact both their high school Special Education case manager and FVTC’s Disability Services at (920) 735-2569 or email disabilityservices@fvtc.edu.
