As the largest higher education system in the state, the Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) is the leader in the delivery of cutting-edge, skills-based education. The system offers over 500 programs of study and supports more than 274,000 enrollments each year. 16 college districts comprise the system, and job placement is strong: 93% of WTCS graduates are employed within 6 months of graduation.

Fox Valley Technical College offers more than 220 associate degree, technical diploma and certificate programs, and instruction related to 19 apprenticeship trades, in addition to providing services to business and industry. The college serves over 50,000 people annually, more than any other technical college in Wisconsin.

  • The main campus in Appleton is located on a 145-acre site with 863,780 sq. ft. of facility space, including satellite buildings: Career Exploration and Financial Literacy Center, D.J. Bordini Center, J.J. Keller Transportation Center, and Service Motor Company Agriculture Center. 

  • The Public Safety Training Center main building is 95,545 sq. ft. with a vehicle maintenance building of 5,085 sq. ft. The River City training buildings, a total of 6, add up to 12,488 sq. ft. This includes 1-story home, 2-story home, convenience store, bank, motel/bar and forced entry building. The Aircraft Rescue & Fire Fighting training facility adjacent to the Public Safety Training Center is a 9,020 sq. ft. building on a site of approximately 11 acres. 

  • Five facilities comprise the FVTC Oshkosh Campus. The Riverside Campus is a 73,617 sq. ft. facility on a 12.6-acre site. The new Construction Training Center is a 5,000 sq. ft. facility on a 1.7-acre site. Other locations include the S.J. Spanbauer Center, the Advanced Manufacturing Technology Center, the FabTech Education Center and the new Construction Training Center, together totaling 128,474 sq. ft.

  • Four regional centers located in Chilton, Clintonville, Waupaca and Wautoma, plus more than 50 other outreach locations where services are provided across the District.

  • Operating budget for Fiscal Year 2024-2025 is $127.1 million at adoption, capital budget is $17.3 million

  • 20.5% of college operational funding comes from local taxes, 36.4% from state aid, 18.4% from student tuition & fees, 11.1% from institutional and 13.6% from federal grants

  • Taxpayers with a $100,000 property value will pay an estimated $76 in property taxes to support FVTC in 2024-25
