For Employers

On-campus recruiting is a great opportunity to connect with FVTC students and future graduates. There is no fee for this service. Review program information to identify which students you would like to target. You can also view the academic calendar to reach students who are approaching graduation.

How It Works

Step 1: Choose a date, time and campus location for recruiting.

Please allow at least two weeks to schedule and promote your visit. We typically schedule on-campus recruitment sessions at our Appleton Campus, however other locations can be considered.

Step 2: Decide which recruiting option fits your needs.

Handshake-LogoFormal recruitment: You will be interviewing pre-selected candidates at a FVTC campus location of your choice. Recruitment for qualified candidates will be conducted in advance by submitting available job openings to Employment Connections and posting them on Handshake . This type of recruiting does require that your opening prefers or requires a student/graduate from one of our 90+ programs. Students/graduates will submit their resumes to Employment Connections and we will then schedule the individuals for an interview time slot on the date chosen. Students will be informed in advance that this is a formal interview and should approach it in a professional manner.

This option is available Monday-Friday between 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

Informal recruitment: You will have a reserved table in the commons or other targeted area on campus to recruit students for you position openings. The placement of the table will be positioned to allow for direct student traffic. This type of recruiting is promoted as a casual “come as you are” atmosphere. Please feel free to bring a company branded table covering or display that you feel may better enhance your visibility (free candy and/or trinkets always work well). Remember to post on Handshake, the position(s) you'll be recruiting for prior to your visit and active at the time of your recruitment.

This option is available Monday-Thursday, typically from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.. Times can be adjusted as needed.

Step 3: Submit your job openings on Handshake
