There is a strong demand for professional truck drivers, and this apprenticeship program can get you started in an exciting career on the road. As a professional truck driver, you’re responsible for the safe, efficient delivery of goods between locations. This apprenticeship training program requires you to first be employed so you can get the most out of on-the-job learning with related CDL instruction at FVTC. In the Truck Driving Apprenticeship, you'll get behind-the-wheel training on how to maneuver trucks into tight parking spaces, through narrow alleys and up to loading platforms. You'll develop backing and driving skills through driving range and roadway experiences. You'll learn about truck driving theory through our online training course. When completed, you'll have the skills, knowledge and certifications you need to earn your Class A commercial driver's license (CDL).
