Student Project in Wall Street Journal
Students from Fox Valley Technical College’s Truck Driving program were mentioned in the April 14 online edition of the Wall Street Journal for their contributions in volunteering to load, transport, and unload products in support of Habitat for Humanity for the Greater Fox Cities.
The overall effort for the non-profit organization was led by School Specialty, Inc., in which the company raised funds for building materials to aid Fox Valley families in need.
Other supporting organizations involved in the project included Festival Foods, Habitat for Humanity, and Lowe’s. The FVTC students also used the opportunity to incorporate a real-time learning experience as a result of the collaboration.
