Waupaca Regional Center

The Waupaca Regional Center offers a variety of services and courses designed to meet your continuing education needs. For your convenience, you can stay close to home and still choose from many credit and non-credit classes, along with a full range of support services to help you succeed. Credit courses may be applied to associate degree, technical diploma or certificate programs. Numerous non-credit courses are offered for self-enrichment. Courses are taught on site and in other locations, including Iola, Weyauwega and Manawa.

The Waupaca Regional Center was constructed in 2007 to incorporate LEED silver standard aspects. The building’s energy system employs a combination of solar thermal panels, photovoltaics, radiant floor heating,and sun shades. Energy performance at the center is continuously monitored.

Facility & Virtual Tour

Fox Valley Technical College's Waupaca Regional Center offers a variety of services for students and the community. The facility includes: 

  • Two computer labs with 20 workstations in one, 12 workstations in the other, LCD projector, laser printer, scanner, Internet access, and more than 40 different computer courses; professional instructors available to help in an open-lab environment as well as instructor-led classes
  • College Admissions and Enrollment Services
  • IP facilities for live interactive meetings with remote locations
  • Four general classrooms with smart classroom facilities
  • Adult Education (AE) classroom
  • Referral to Career Counseling
  • Testing/Computer lab with 8 workstations
  • Gary Thoe Technical Lab-manufacturing technology, personal enrichment and contract training

  • Johnson Family Conference Center with smart classroom facilities
  • Virtual computer facilities for individual students to connect to virtual, internet or hybrid classes
  • Arts and Crafts lab/classroom with smart classroom facilities

Adult Education

Adult Education (ABE) prepares students to complete their high school credential. Build reading, writing, math, science, social science and study skills. 

All Adult Education classes are available at the Waupaca Regional Center.

Computer Training

The Business Technology Center at the Waupaca Regional Center was designed with the latest technology and resources to better serve you, the student. All currently registered FVTC students are welcome to use the BTC facilities for program-related activities.

Self-Directed/Open Lab Classes

Self-directed classes provide students with a practical, hands-on approach to developing skills. The emphasis is placed on learning by doing. These self-paced, open entry/open exit courses are presented in a tutorial format designed to be used in a lab setting. The student schedules regular hours that are convenient. Instructors are available to provide assistance and to administer tests and timings during scheduled hours.

Computer Lab Courses

All open lab courses are self-paced. Students must schedule an orientation to the computer lab prior to beginning a course. Instructors are present in the lab for specific blocks of time.
