Earn college credit for military training and experience. Fox Valley Tech accepts a variety of military training and experience as credits toward your college degree.

Service in the Army, Navy, Marines or Coast Guard

If you served in the Army, Navy, Marines or Coast Guard:

  • Request an official Joint Services Transcript at https://jst.doded.mil. 
  • Send your transcript electronically to FVTC (email: Transfer Credit) or bring it in for review. 
  • You can also request to have your JST transcript ordered for you by our Credit for Prior Learning staff.

Service in the Air Force

If you served in the Air Force:

  • Submit electronically or bring your Community College of the Air Force transcript to FVTC (email: Transfer Credit) or bring it in for review. 
  • If you are a veteran of the Air Force or are currently on active duty, you can request a CCAF transcript at www.airuniversity.af.edu

Other Accepted Training


FVTC also accepts successful DANTES/DSST exams. Scores for all DANTES-funded DSST exams are automatically reported to the Joint Services Transcript (JST). Air Force scores are also reported to the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF).
