Campus Tours

Come check out Fox Valley Technical College. Your visit will include a general college overview, a general tour of our student services, followed by learning what your next steps would be.

Request Campus Tour

Once our Admission Specialists team receives your request, we'll review your area of interest, match it to our schedule, and contact you to make arrangements. Depending on the time of year, Campus Tours can typically be scheduled for the week following the request.

This annual college-wide event lets you explore all of the options and services available through Fox Valley Technical College. Representatives from each career program area are available to answer questions and lead tours through classrooms and high-tech labs. You can apply for admission and learn about financial aid, student life and more! No registration required. 

Can't make it to the Appleton campus? Visit our Oshkosh Riverside campus or regional centers in Chilton, Clintonville, Waupaca or Wautoma to apply in-person or for general college information.

Technology Fair

Fox Valley Technical College is a leader in technology use in the classroom. Get an insider’s view of future technologies and see some of the instructional technology we are using today, including augmented and virtual reality, drone simulator, various robotic applications, a laser scanner for crime scene investigations,touch-free human computer interaction, and much more.

Discovery Days

Want to visit us in person? Choose from a full schedule of Discovery Days to experience campus life at FVTC. Your visit will include a general college overview, an informative tour of your program area of interest, followed by a panel of current Fox Valley Tech students who will answer questions about campus life. Open to prospective students of all ages and their families.

FABTECH Education Center Tours

Build your future with an industry leader! Become a FABICK CAT TECH.

Tour the facility, learn about the program and speak with FABTECH representatives. Lunch will be provided for tour groups. Bus funding is also available for travel expenses as requested.

ABOUT FABTECH: FABTECH is an affordably priced, accredited technical diploma series of courses focused on developing entry-level technicians in the construction equipment, engine and electric power-generation fields. Scholarships are available!

Aviation Fly-In & Open House

Saturday, April 27, 2019 | 8 a.m.-Noon
S.J. Spanbauer Center  |  3601 S. Oregon St.  |  Oshkosh

Either fly in or drive in for breakfast and explore the aviation training hangar and labs, visit with faculty and try out our full-motion Redbird flight simulators. If you're considering a career in aviation, this event is for you!

No registration required; just stop by between 8 a.m. and noon.

Events For Middle School Groups

Career Exploration for Middle Schools

PLEASE NOTE: All 2018-19 events are at capacity. In lieu of visiting the campus, we encourage you to arrange a career cluster presentation. If interested, please contact Jennifer Fuerst at 920-560-1439 or to make arrangements. 

Career exploration for middle school students (6-8 grades). Students can visit our campus and explore various career areas. 

Pre-registration is required for your group. Space is limited and will be on a first-come, first served basis. Parents are encouraged to join their child at this event. One chaperone is required for every 10 students. 

FORMAT: The day begins with a short welcome and introductions. Attendees will break into groups that will rotate through three different career areas, followed by a final wrap up.


Please send this registration form (PDF) home with your students, along with a permission slip, and return all completed documents to Jennifer Fuerst the day of the event. 

All students are required to take the following surveys:

Post-event survey taken at school after the event.

It is highly recommended that a post-event career cluster presentation is scheduled.

Junior Achievement Technical Careers Challenge

Event description:

JA Technical Careers Challenge is a real-world experience that allows teams of middle school students to compete against one another as they discover how education can bridge the gap between their passion and a future dream career. 

Working with a team of middle school students, FVTC instructors and business professionals, students will learn and play as they participate in one of seven real-world, hands-on career scenarios. 

Challenge scenarios: 
Agriculture, Automotive, Culinary Arts, Diesel, Healthcare, Information Technology, Manufacturing

Events For High School Groups

Hands-On, High Tech Event | High School Students

Tuesday October 22 or Wednesday, October 23, 2019
S.J. Spanbauer Center  |  3601 S. Oregon St.  |  Oshkosh

For high school groups who want to experience a different type of learning environment. This event focuses on hands-on career training in wood manufacturing and residential building construction. This one-day event is for high school students (grades 9-12) only.

Contact your high school counselor or teacher if you'd like to attend.

Registration will be open September 3-23, 2019.

Campus Visit Days

Campus Visit Days are designed specifically for high school groups. These career exploration visits highlight a variety of career training options, as well as a general college overview, a basic overview of a career cluster area, and student panel discussion. Pre-registration is required through a high school counselor or teacher. Due to the popularity of this program, we are only able to accommodate high school students. Middle schools are encouraged to contact the college to set up in-class presentations.

Instructions for Faculty: To register a group of students from your high school:  

  1. Call 920-735-4740 to check availability and reserve your preferred date. Please remember that Campus Visit Days fill quickly so be sure to contact us early! 

  2. After confirming your preferred date, you will be emailed a link to a registration form for your students to complete. This form will help us plan appropriate tours based on your group's interests. If you would prefer a printable PDF registration form, please let us know. 

Please note: 

  • One adult chaperone is required for every 10 students. 
  • Registration for each Campus Visit Day closes two weeks prior to the event date.
