A nursing assistant is an essential member of the healthcare team. This program will help you learn how to provide for the personal care and comfort of people with health problems. You will learn to bathe, dress, feed, mobilize and transport people; obtain pulse and temperature; and report observations and reactions to the health care team. Nursing assistants prepare equipment, take care of the patient’s room and keep patient records. In this role, you may assist clients with dementia and rehabilitation needs, and provide restorative care to help them maintain their independence. Upon completion, you’ll be ready to take the certification exam. You will have a variety of employment options as a certified nursing assistant (CNA).
