You and your family are invited to the Commencement Ceremony for the spring 2024 graduates of Fox Valley Technical College! The ceremony will take place on Sunday, May 19 at 1 p.m. at Kolf Sports Center in Oshkosh.

In addition to the in-person event, a livestream of the ceremony will be available on this Commencement Ceremony page (www.fvtc.edu/Graduation). A recording will be posted here following the event.

We are so proud of all of our graduates—for your resilience, your dedication and your spirit. A graduation ceremony marks the end of a journey, but it’s also a beginning. Let’s celebrate that together.

Commencement Admission Details

Leave Valuables with Family

Please leave your valuables (purse, coat, etc.) with your family or friends. There is NO secure location within the building.

Do Not Leave Items Unattended

Items cannot be left at the entrance. Unattended items will be inspected and discarded. Fox Valley Technical College and UW Oshkosh are not responsible for lost or stolen items. 

All Bags Subject to Search

All bags (to include but not limited to handbags, briefcases, camera bags, diaper bags, clutches, and purses) and strollers are subject to search prior to entry into the venue.

Commencement Ceremony FAQ

Is there a graduation rehearsal for the commencement ceremony?

No, our staff will guide graduates for line up and when it is time to approach the stage at each ceremony.  Be sure to check in at the registration table when arriving to your commencement ceremony.

Do guests need tickets to attend the ceremony?

No tickets are required for entry to Kolf Sports Center.

Accessible Seating

If you as a graduate or one of your guests require assistance at the ceremony, email graduation@fvtc.edu. Ushers will assist the graduate and any guests to accessible seating arrangements.

What is the graduation commencement etiquette?

The commencement exercise is a formal academic ceremony. Please view Commencement Etiquette information found on the Graduation Requirements page under Graduation Requirements and Additional Information to ensure that our graduates and guests have the most enjoyable day possible.

How do I get my diploma cover if I didn't participate in the ceremony?

If you did not participate in the commencement ceremony, a cover will be available at no cost.  Please stop by the Enrollment Services office at any campus or regional center.  If you have more than one degree granted in an academic year, you can purchase additional covers at $7.50 per cover.  Programs that are eligible for a diploma cover are Associate or Technical degree programs.  Programs that are not eligible for a diploma cover are Nursing Assistant, Truck Driving, Law Enforcement Recruit Academy and Certificates.

How do I receive my professional graduation pictures taken at the ceremony?

A professional photographer from GradImages will take photos of each graduate on the day of the ceremony. Proofs will be emailed to graduate's FVTC email account as soon as 72 hours after the ceremony with information on purchasing prints If you have questions, you can contact GradImages Customer Service at 800-261-2576.
