Students Receive Boost with CARES Act Monday, July 6, 2020 | By: Britten, Casey Students are benefiting from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. CARES is an emergency financial assistance fund that provides grants to students during a time when their college schedules and routines have been disrupted by COVID-19. To date, the relief fund has given more than 800 FVTC students a financial boost to help keep them on track with their educational pathways, totaling around $680,000. Students are still encouraged to apply at www.fvtc.edu/FVTCcares.
