Why did you choose the Nursing - RN Associate Degree career program?

I love biology and helping people. Nursing is the perfect combination of both!

What are you learning about your career field that you find interesting or rewarding?

I love learning about how the human body works and how we can help make things better. Understanding how meds and treatment affect the body is incredibly fascinating!

Why did you choose Fox Valley Technical College?

FVTC is close to home and has a fantastic reputation. Those two factors made the decision to attend here very easy. It’s enabled me to work full-time and attend school without issue.

What type of job do you expect to find after graduation?

I would love to work in an emergency department at a hospital.

In one sentence, what's your best advice for someone who's not sure they're ready for college?

Start with a light course load. It may take an extra semester or two, but it will allow you to acclimate to a college environment.

Lightning Round!

Best on-campus place to study: In the library.

One class you surprisingly enjoyed: Developmental Psychology.

One class that challenged you: Nursing Pharmacology.

Pro-tip for newcomers trying to find their way around campus: Always look for your classrooms a few days before the semester starts. The halls won't be crowded and you can learn the way more easily!
