Why did you choose this career program?

I decided to pursue studies in this field because I have always been passionate about working with children. I aim to have a positive influence on children, just as my teachers did when I was growing up. I want to help children receive the high-quality education they deserve and enable them to reach their full potential.

What are you learning about your career field that you find interesting or rewarding?

One of the most rewarding aspects of this career is the ability to make a difference in the lives of children. Whether it's simply being there for them or helping them achieve their goals, it's incredibly fulfilling to witness their excitement when you enter the classroom or their pride in their accomplishments knowing that you've supported them throughout their journey.

Why did you choose Fox Valley Technical College?

I decided to attend Fox Valley Technical College because it's close to my home, and I can easily transfer my associate degree to a four-year college. I've been able to build strong connections with teachers and classmates, which may not be as easily achievable at a four-year school.

How has Fox Valley Technical College helped you change your life?

Fox Valley Technical College has had a profound impact on my life in numerous positive ways. The most significant difference they have made for me is in providing opportunities. They offer various resources for me to use while I am in school and when I am working in the workforce. Additionally, they help students find amazing job opportunities.

What type of job do you expect to find after graduation?

After graduation, I will be working as a lead teacher in a childcare classroom, teaching children aged from birth to 5 years old. My role will involve educating them on classroom topics and preparing them for kindergarten.

What's your best advice for someone who's not sure they're ready for college?

Here's my best advice for someone who's not sure if they're ready for college: get involved in the field you're interested in and see if it's the right fit for you. If you enjoy it and want to advance in that field, then pursue a degree in that area.
