Why did you choose the Early Childhood Education program?

I wanted to make a difference in people's lives and help them bring out the best in themselves. Sometimes people just need someone to believe in them and push them to the next step, and what better way to do that than to start when they are young.

What are you learning about your career field that you find interesting or rewarding?

I’ve learned how much I matter and how much of an impact I am making on children in this field. By being a male role model and just being able to work in a non-traditional career, I can help everyone believe that anything is possible.

Why did you choose Fox Valley Technical College?

I feel that Fox Valley Technical College chose me. My intent was to go to a technical college first, since I have been out of college for the past 6 years. Going straight into a university would have been a tougher choice, so I decided to attend here first and transfer when I feel ready.

How did Fox Valley Technical College help you change your life?

It has given me more opportunities to better myself in the short period of time that I have been here than anywhere I've been before. It has opened my eyes to more possibilities and potential than I never knew I had. FVTC accepted me with open arms and pushed me to be the best that I can be, and continues to push me to be even more.

What type of job do you expect to find after graduation?

I will be transferring to the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh to continue my degree in Elementary education and hope to come back and work for my district. I would like to someday come back to FVTC and give back to the community and school that has helped me develop myself and that has helped me become who I am today.
