Students in Fox Valley Technical College’s Printing Technologies program earned a bronze medal, third-place finish at the 2015 national Flexographic Technical Association’s (FTA) Excellence in Flexographic Awards event in Nashville.

The winning entry was a decorative Christmas wrapping paper design. The judges praised the design and quality of the product by commenting on its exemplary use of screen transitions. The students involved in the project under the direction of instructor Scott Gehrt were Tyler Tennessen, Claire Schuster, James King, and Collin Tecca.

The FTA, chartered in 1958, is a professional society dedicated to bringing all members of the flexographic printing community together by providing opportunities for the free exchange of technical ideas and more.
