Bryce Remy’s journey at Fox Valley Technical College began in 2016 with his enrollment in the Computer Support Specialist program. Little did he know his time at FVTC would spark something far greater: a profound passion for learning.

“I started at FVTC because it was affordable when I was looking at colleges, “ Bryce explains. “I was able to actually work full time, go to school full time and I came out of my program debt free. That was a huge win for me.”

Bryce calls out two faculty who impacted him at FVTC: Information Technology instructor Steve Everding and math instructor Tim Zick.

“Steve would lead some of those [Networking] classes and he’d add humor, which I always feel like computers and humor don’t go well together, but he did a good job of it,” Bryce jokes. “Math has never been my strong suit, but Tim Zick, I took his math class, and I really got my passion for learning from there.”

After earning his associate degree from FVTC in 2018, Bryce earned a bachelor’s degree in IT from Colorado State University-Global in 2021 and a Master of Business Administration from University of Southern Indiana in 2023. He is currently working toward a Doctor of Business Administration with an emphasis on Leadership Excellence at Edgewood College.

Bryce is now the IT Network Administrator and Help Desk Manager at Van Horn Automotive Group in Plymouth, Wisconsin. He serves as the District 3 alder for the City of Horicon as well as holding board positions with the United Way of Dodge County and Horicon Historical Society.

Bryce’s pursuit of knowledge, coupled with an impressive career and a deep commitment to his community, has earned him the title of 2025 Outstanding Alumni at Fox Valley Technical College.

“FVTC taught me many technical skills, but it also gave me a confidence boost and helped me create a positive work-life balance,” Bryce says. “I do a lot for the community and for my employer. To be recognized this way is such a huge honor.”
