Recognized for Career & Technical Education Tuesday, February 26, 2019 | By: Britten, Casey IN PHOTO: DWD Secretary Caleb Frostman (left) with Dr. Chris Matheny, executive vice president at FVTC Anchored by exemplary graduate employment and innovative industry partnerships, the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development (DWD) presented Fox Valley Technical College with a special Proclamation for its dedication to career and technical education. FVTC officials joined DWD Secretary Caleb Frostman, regional legislators, and industry leaders from both Air Wisconsin and Gulfstream to celebrate Career and Technical Education Month in Wisconsin at the college’s S.J. Spanbauer Center in Oshkosh. The college’s aviation programs, including pilot training and aircraft maintenance, were highlighted during the Secretary’s visit. Attendees also toured training labs for careers in wood manufacturing, construction and construction management, and electro-mechanical technology.
