College Eases Masking on Campus

Wearing a mask becomes optional

Following new guidelines released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Fox Valley Technical College has announced it is moving forward with a “mask optional” policy effective today, March 2.

The CDC is relaxing its masking guidance for communities where hospitals are no longer under high strain from COVID-19 cases. All of the counties in the Fox Valley Tech district have been identified as “low” status. You can learn more about the COVID-19 community levels by going to the CDC website.

Everyone is encouraged to stay informed on the transmission of COVID-19. Should there be an outbreak or sharp rise in cases, the college will reassess protocols and take the steps necessary to continue to serve our students and keep our community as safe as possible.
