Thanks to a donation from the Oshkosh Builders Association (OBA), more students can earn a great career in the fast-growing construction trades.

The OBA has served the needs of the region’s plumbing, construction, electrical, and lumber industries for nearly the past 100 years. In April, the Association dissolved and donated its remaining funds of more than $18,000 to the Fox Valley Technical College Foundation. The Foundation will use the funds to support scholarships for students in the college’s Construction programs.

Established in 1921, the OBA provided a vital connection for networking and relationship-building between consumers and construction-related businesses and suppliers. Throughout its history, the Association had as many as 200-plus members and held annual fundraisers for charities.
