Mitchler to Lead Chilton Regional Center

Fox Valley Technical College has named Allan Mitchler the new director of its Chilton Regional Center.

The public is invited to meet Mitchler along with an opportunity to tour the facility and learn more about its offerings during a Meet & Greet event on Thursday, May 10 from 8 to 10 a.m. at 1200 E. Chestnut St.

Mitchler most recently served as vice president of enrollment services and vice president of graduate, adult, and online enrollment services at Cardinal Stritch University. Prior to that experience, he served as an independent consultant helping higher educational institutions with research, campus planning, search services, and more. In all, Mitchler brings more than 25 years of experience to FVTC, including extended stints at Lakeland College, Benedictine College, St. Louis University, and Lindenwood College.

Mitchler’s resume of accomplishments includes record-setting student recruitment strategies, the development of blended hybrid education programs for working adults, and the training of more than 300 employees. The U.S. Air Force veteran also holds a master’s degree in Management from Webster University, yet his humble beginnings started with technical education.

“I’m a product of a two-year college and deeply believe in the impact of Fox Valley Technical College,” Mitchler said. “This college is a starting point for basically anything in life, from building
confidence and leadership skills to learning a new talent that employers value, to everything in between.”

Mitchler’s vision is all-encompassing for the greater Chilton community. “I want everyone in our region to know that this is their center,” he said. “We can open any door for basically any career pathway or training initiative, and the more we can do to assist high school students to earn college credits, the better. Don’t hesitate to ask what your local college can do for your unique circumstance.” The May 10 event will present a personal opportunity with Mitchler and his staff to do just that.

Established in 1981, the FVTC Chilton Regional Center offers academic degrees in Farm Business & Production Management, Business Management, Management Development, Nursing Assistant, and Industrial Engineering Technology. In addition, through general education courses students can get started on other career pathways in Chilton while keeping tuition costs down.

Local businesses have long benefited from the regional center too in terms of employee assessment training and other workplace initiatives like soft skill development, leadership training, and lean practices.
