Dr. Patricia Jorgensen currently serves as the Vice President for Student and Community Development at Fox Valley Technical College. Her areas of responsibility include district-wide student services (Counseling Services, Admissions and Enrollment Services, Financial Aid, Minority Student Services, Educational Support Services, Employment Connections, and Student Life), College Marketing, Oshkosh Campuses, and Regional Center operations.
Jorgensen joined Fox Valley Technical College in August of 2009. Her career experience includes twelve years in Production Management at R-Line Foods and the J.M. Smucker Company in Ripon. She spent eight years prior to coming to FVTC as the Director of the Kellett School for Lakeland College in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Her higher education experience also includes instruction, recruiting and advising for graduate and undergraduate students.
Active in the community, Jorgensen serves on several local boards including for the YMCA, FVTC Foundation, Winnebago Region Junior Achievement and COTS.
Jorgensen completed her bachelor’s degree in mathematics and physical education from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. She has received her M.Ed. – Counseling degree and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Jorgensen completed a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in fall 2013. Her dissertation involved the study of resilience and dislocated workers who came to college at FVTC upon losing their jobs.
