Jill McEwen Biography

Jill McEwen oversees Fox Valley Technical College’s facilities and operations functions. Facilities and operations encompasses mechanical, structural, electrical, custodial, vehicle maintenance, grounds, mail, and shipping and receiving services. It also includes capital project planning, remodeling and renovation projects, new construction, risk management, and leases. Security Services is a part of the division and is responsible for the College’s security efforts at all locations including emergency preparedness, loss prevention, student, staff and public security, and parking enforcement.

McEwen joined Fox Valley Technical College as Director – Human Resources in 2000. During her time with the College, she has served as Vice President – Human Resources, Vice President for Administrative Services, and currently serves as Vice President for Facilities and Operations. Prior to joining the College, McEwen spent over ten years in the private sector. The companies included Schneider National, Miller Electric Manufacturing, Hobart Brothers Company, and Northern States Power Company.

 

McEwen is an active volunteer at the College and in her community. She volunteers with Junior Achievement, Freedom House and serves on the board for the Fox Cities Book Festival.  She is a graduate of Leadership Fox Cities and has served on the United Way Fox Cities Strengthening Families Impact Area.

 

McEwen completed her bachelor’s degree in communication from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She earned a master’s degree from the University of Minnesota in Human Resource Development and a master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in Human Resources and Labor Relations.
