Stephen Kohler has been a member of the District Board since 2012 and has previously served as secretary, vice chair, and chair. He works at Pierce Manufacturing, Inc., an Oshkosh Corporation Company, as Director of Human Resources. He has previously worked in the papermaking, financial services, and aviation industries. Kohler is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served in both overseas and stateside assignments.
In addition to the FVTC Board of Trustees, Kohler is a thirty-seven-year member and Lieutenant Colonel in the congressionally chartered Civil Air Patrol/U.S. Air Force Auxiliary where he has served as National Personnel Officer, Wing Inspector General, Group Commander, and Squadron Commander. He belongs to the local American Legion and is a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans. Kohler is actively involved in his local church volunteering in several leadership roles.
His formal education includes a Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resource Management degree and a Master of Science degree in Organizational Leadership. Additionally, Kohler completed executive leadership programs at Cornell University, Northwestern University, and the Center for Creative Leadership. He is also an executive coach for business leaders.
