2013 Logistics 


Work In ProgressRooms A170 A/B/C will be the general meeting place from 7:45 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. An adult will remain in this room during this time in case any children get misdirected or if sessions end early. Volunteers will escort children to and from the workshop locations.

Registration & Breakfast

Registration will begin at 7:45 a.m. Each child will receive a name tag which will include their workshop times and locations and a bag to put any of their takeaway items from the sessions in. A light continental breakfast will be served (muffins, fruit, juice, etc.) compliments of the President’s office. Thank you Dr. Susan May!

Lunch


Parents/Sponsors are encouraged to join the children for lunch. Lunch will begin at 11:30 a.m. in rooms A170 A/B/C. Box lunches will be served at a cost of $5.00 per person (child or adult). If you plan to participate in lunch, please check the appropriate box on the registration form.

You will need to send $5.00 for each person to
Beth Beyer in G145. If you are paying by check, please make the check payable to the FVTC Foundation.

Lunch tickets must be purchased by April 19, 2013 so we have an accurate lunch count!

Afternoon


Immediately following lunch, there will be a video recap of the morning’s events and prize drawings. Prizes are limited so not every participant will receive one. Participants do not need to be present during the prize drawing to win.

New this year! Children can opt to take an additional session after lunch. This session will run from 12:30-1:50 p.m. (note: children who are signed up for a session in Oshkosh will need to be ready to leave by 12:00).

After lunch (or after the optional third session), children will spend time with the one person who makes this day possible – their parent/sponsor! It is recommended that each child spend some time job shadowing/observing/helping their parent/sponsor in their area. Let them assist you in your work for the day however they can, encourage them to ask questions and continue to expand on their experience.
