The AMBER Alert Training and Technical Assistance Program, under the direction and leadership of the Office of Justice Programs, works to promote Native American and other tribal communities’ awareness and understanding of, and participation in, the AMBER Alert Initiative. Programs assist these communities in building capacity for effective intake, response, investigation, and reporting of missing, endangered and abducted children. Key initiatives involve:
- Expanding opportunities for meetings, trainings, and conferences designed to reach tribal communities
- Providing effective and culturally sensitive on-site training and technical assistance events which address needs on a broad spectrum of child protection issues
- Developing and maintaining strong communications and collaborative work with tribal leaders and other Indian Country partners
We offer a wide variety of Tribal Justice Training Programs from our Criminal Justice Center for Innovation. Use the link above to see our multiple offerings and programs.
