Ron is a community member of the Board who retired from Fox Valley Technical College in 2009 after 38 years of service. He held the positions of Communication Skills instructor, Training and Development Coordinator, General Studies Dean, and was an Executive Dean and Interim Chief Academic Officer at the time of his retirement. He holds a bachelor’s degree from St. Mary’s University, Winona, MN, and a master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Ron has long been involved in the community, for example, helping organize FVTC staff for Rebuilding Together projects, co-leading the FVTC United Way campaign, and raising funds for the Salvation Army. He has also served as a Board member for the Fox Valley Literacy Coalition (now Council) and Housing Partnership of the Fox Cities. Currently, Ron serves as a board member for Fox Valley Lutheran Homes, Inc. and the Hortonville Food Pantry. He is a member of the Kiwanis Club of Grand Chute and has served as President of that club.
Ron and his wife, Karen, also a retiree from FVTC, reside in Greenville and enjoy spending time with their grandchildren, son and daughter-in-law who live in the area. They are also enjoying their travels which give them the opportunity to visit their son who lives in North Carolina and also spend time in those “warmer climates” during Wisconsin winters.
