Rick Recktenwald Biography

Rick Recktenwald is the President for Walker Forge.  He is a 31 year manufacturing veteran of the closed die forging industry.  The past 15 years have been at Walker Forge, Inc. and now, additionally, Precision Thermal Processing, Inc., both of which are located in Clintonville, Wisconsin.  Previous employment in the Buffalo, New York and Detroit, Michigan encompassed the areas of strategic planning, plant and design engineering, maintenance, tool and die, and manufacturing.  Walker Forge/Precision Thermal Processing responsibilities encompass these similar areas.

Rick’s education includes: 

  • Erie Community College in Buffalo, New York ~ AAS (Business Management)

  • SUNY @ Geneseo in Geneseo, New York ~ BS (Quantitative Systems, Computer Science)

  • University of Buffalo in Buffalo, New York ~ MBA (Management Information Systems, Financial Analysis & Control)

  • Northwestern (2), University of Pennsylvania & University of Michigan (Executive Management Programs including Strategy, Competitive Analysis, Supply Chain)

Rick has volunteered his time with:

  • Waupaca County Economic Development Corporation - 11 years

  • Fox Valley Technical College Board of Trustees - 3 years

  • Fox Valley Technical College Foundation Trustee - 4 years

  • Forging Industry Education and Research Foundation Trustee - 4 years

Rick and his wife, Mary Alice Browne, and their four daughters reside in Neenah.
