Skills Assessment

An academic skills assessment is required for admission into this program or the following: High School GPA of 2.75 or higher (last 10 years) OR provide completion of associate’s or higher degree OR; 165 or higher on your 2014 series GED tests OR; ACT OR SAT OR Accuplacer OR Companion OR Compass (last 3 years) to waive to the general education level; The cost of the Accuplacer assessment is $15; Catalog #: 94100100; Learn more at www.fvtc.edu/Assessment.

A physical exam/TB test and Mandated Reporter Training are required prior to Practicum/Field Experience 1

A criminal background check is required to exhibit you have NO record that would prohibit you from working in a K12 school setting.

Students will be required to travel to Spanbauer/Oshkosh/Public Safety Training Center for select courses

Wisconsin DPI Experienced-Based Licensure for Technical and Vocational Education Subjects form PI-1623 and accompanying documentation of 200 hours of related work experience or completion of a bachelor’s degree are needed to meet alternative licensure requirements in the State of Wisconsin. This licensure also requires approval from a specific school district.

  • Illustrate awareness of developmentally appropriate instructional practices to foster learning within CTE content areas
  • Incorporate the reflective process to promote professional growth
